what we do

Bayliss Associates have been involved in a wide range of international trade and business consultancy projects. Examples of our work are as follows:

Australian state and federal government consultancy activities:

  Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), through the Council of Australian Arab Relations (CAAR) and the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI): a series of Business Guides to the Arab Gulf. The reports focus on the six countries that comprise the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC): Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
  As members of a team, headed by Growing Your Knowledge Pty Limited, Bayliss Associates have been involved in two comprehensive reviews of the Australian Stem Cell Centre for the Commonwealth Departments of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and other precedent agencies.
  For AusAID, the agency of the Australian Government responsible for managing Australia’s overseas aid program, Bayliss Associates have prepared a review of private sector investment initiatives in the Pacific Island region.
  For the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), Bayliss Associates has prepared a series of briefing papers to assist Australian companies become successful exporters. These are featured on the Austrade website in the section “About Exporting.” 
          >    Bayliss Associates has also prepared a series of internal training and
            business process manuals for Austrade.
  For the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Bayliss Associates has prepared and Investment Guide to the Indonesian Food and Agriculture Sector.
  Bayliss Associates also has undertaken a review and provided recommendations to the Business and Industry Development group within the Chief Minister’s Department of the Australian Capital Territory Government, on the further development of the ACT Government’s international business development strategies.
  Bayliss Associates has been retained by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) to provide advisory services for the Australian Government’s Trade 2020 series of high-level dialogues, taking place in November 2009.

International agencies and foreign governments

  The International Trade Centre (ITC), an arm of the UN, based in Geneva, has retained Bayliss Associates to prepare a course book to provide small business operators in developing countries with an introduction to researching and analysing export markets.
  The Government of Brunei Darussalam retained Bayliss Associates as project manager for the development of an international marketing strategy specifically for the development of an international halal food branding concept.
  The Embassy of Indonesia in Australia selected Bayliss Associates to provide a comprehensive report on business development and marketing strategies for the Indonesian pearl industry. The ultimate client being the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Export Promotion Board. (BPEN).
  Roger Bayliss has also been appointed Honorary Business Representative for the Government of Singapore in Australia. Mr Bayliss provides advice to Singaporean and Australian companies, in an honorary capacity, on doing business between Singapore and Australia. He oversees the operations of the office of IE Singapore in Sydney.
