Roger Bayliss has a background in science and
marketing in the chemical industry with the Albright + Wilson
group in Europe and Australia.
Roger was an Australian Trade Commissioner in New York, Los
Angeles, Jakarta, Suva, Singapore, Baghdad and New Delhi. He
was appointed as Executive General Manager of the Australian
Trade Commission (Austrade) in Singapore, responsible for 10
offices in ASEAN.
Roger then moved to Dubai to manage the Middle East and Indian
Ocean region for Austrade before returning to Australia in 2002.
Roger is a non-executive director of SMEC (Snowy Mountains Engineering
Corporation) Holdings Limited. |

Julie Bayliss has a background in economics,
finance and banking, and has managed a number of complex territories
during her career with Austrade, which included assignments
as Trade Commissioner in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Suva, Baghdad,
Los Angeles, New Delhi and Jakarta.
Julie’s most recent assignment was as Australian Consul-General
in Dubai and Senior Trade Commissioner for the Middle East.
As Australia’s Senior Trade Commissioner in Singapore,
Julie co-ordinated a range of regional ASEAN projects. Julie
also has a background in the management of public issues and
was a Parliamentary Press Secretary.
As an individual consultancy assignment during the second half
of 2006, Julie also managed the Austrade Moscow and Vladivostok
offices, pending the selection and appointment of a full-time
Senior Trade Commissioner for Russia and the Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS). |
